After spending over 30 years in the mountain town of Canmore, Alberta, my wife and I now reside in Cochrane, Alberta. I have officially moved into semi-retirement, but I am still looking forward to performing marriage ceremonies for 2024Â and beyond in Cochrane and the surrounding area.
I am a hopeless romantic and a favorite movie is The Princess Bride. One of my car licence plates is MAWAGE and I have started at least a couple of weddings in the style of Peter Cook's "The Impressive Clergyman", but only when requested of course.
Since my appointment as an Alberta Marriage Commissioner in July of 2014, it has been a privilege to perform over 1500 marriage ceremonies.
My involvement with weddings goes back almost 40 years from when I first started a DJ business in Calgary. Over the years I saw the DJ business change from just playing music at the reception to what it has become today with the DJ providing music for the ceremony and audio support, Master of Ceremonies at the reception and much more.
In the 10 years prior to selling my DJ service to one of my long time staff members, I took many workshops, attended countless seminars and invested many hours to one goal, creating a customized, personalized and memorable experience for my clients.
This wealth of experience is now used to create customized, personalized and memorable marriage ceremonies.
